9th Annual Don Gordon Memorial Golf Tournament

Description

The Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold it's 9th Annual Don Gordon Memorial Golf Tournament on August 26th, 2013 at the Polo Golf and Country Club in Cumming.  The golf tournament is the Chapter's only fund raising event each year.  All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.  Many people are unaware that the American Red Cross is not a a government agency, and does not receive any funding from the government.  The Red Cross is wholly dependent on the generosity of our donors.  Each chapter is responsible for raising the funds to support the mission of the Red Cross, whether it is responding to responding to disasters, locally, nationally, or internationally; collecting life saving blood; teaching skills that can save a life; or assisting our military members and their families. 

The Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross has been serving the families of northeast Georgia, including Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Gilmer, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin, Pickens, Rabun, Towns, Union and White counties since 1917.   You can help support your local Red Cross by supporting our golf tournament.  To play, or for sponsorship opportunities, please contact the chapter office at 770-532-8453.
