The Dawson County Friends of Recovery (FOR) is a non-profit organization that exists to support the Accountability Court Programs of Dawson County, their participants and to provide resources to focus on prevention, recovery, treatment, and public awareness education.
 
September is National Recovery Month. Dawson County Friends of Recovery is celebrating by hosting a “Drug Awareness and Recovery Expo” to be held at the Church at War Hill. We want to welcome you to participate with us in educating the public about the drug epidemic in our area. Information will be given on what to look for, prevention, treatment, drug in schools, and how using drugs effects families. By sending a representative(s) from your agency to the Expo with information that can be handed out about your work in the community, we can spread the word about the resources available to those in need. We will provide a table and 2 chairs for your organization to share your information and any materials you bring to hand out. You may arrive after 5:00 PM to set up.

We want you to join us in this effort to make a difference in Dawson County. Please contact me with any questions and to reserve your table before August 28, 2017. Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the meeting room of the Library, 342 Allen Street, Dawsonville. Come and join us!
