Description
Join The Craddock Center at the 9th Annual Helen Lewis Appalachian Celebration! This free event features handpicked friends of Helen Lewis, famed and fiery Appalachian anthropologist and native of Georgia. Enjoy music by Deborah Thompson from Berea, Kentucky. Her love of and talent for traditional music will have you toe tapping to the sounds of her banjo, guitar, and lap dulcimer. Deborah will be joined by George Ella Lyon, who also grew up in Kentucky. George Ella, a writer, poet, and songwriter, will entertain you with her Appalachian activist spirit and talent.
