Power graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a degree in Economics.  As Chamber President, Power oversees the day-to-day operations of the Chamber of Commerce, Office of Tourism Development and the Development Authority of Dawson County.  In addition to a prestigious career in banking, Power has also served on multiple community boards.

Mr. Herrit lives in the Dawson area with his wife Amanda M. Herrit and children Alexander S. Herrit and Abigail F. Herrit. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning, and a graduate of the Mike Cattrell College of Business with a  Master degree in Business Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of North Georgia.

He holds certifications and leadership training from The American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP); Economic Development Finance Professional Certification (EDFP); and Managers Institute & Directors Institute (APA); and the Georgia Academy for Economic Development.

Kitty (AKA Chamber Cat) came to the Chamber in 2016. She enjoys greeting all visitors when they stop by the office, napping in the afternoons on the front porch and kitty treats.
